♦ Reading: Sometimes authors and illustrators get requests about the use of their art for commercial purposes. Usually it is very easy to say a big NO! but on other occasions it is highly appropiate to grant the permission. In these two newly examples, the books about the two monsters are used to promote reading. A cover photo for handbook on reading (Er þetta stafurinn minn?) shows kids reading books from the monster series. And the books are also used in a video and on a homepage for an app called BookRecorder – an app that makes it easy for kids, teachers, parents and grandparents to record their own audiobooks.
