On top of that there are so many chilling world news with all too negative associations with ice. “It’s just a piece of ice,” said the morbid president of the United States about our neighbour Greenland. And the horror and the crimes committed by the ICE-thugs in the US should be a warning to us all: the same thing can happen anywhere. No society is immune. The danger of transmission and contagion from MAGA and similar movements is more dangerous than any virus.

Hopefully many red hats will be knitted and worn in this frost that is approaching us.
