BÓKVERK: Sýningin ELEMENTAL ICELAND opnaði nú á dögunum í MOFA: Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts í Tallahassee, Florída, í Bandaríkjunum. Þar sýni ég bókverk ásamt samstarfskonum í Bókverkafélaginu ÖRKUM. ARKIR sýna valin bókverk úr sýningunni BORDERLAND sem meðal annars var sett upp í tveimur sýningarsölum í Bandaríkjunum á árinu 2018. Sýningin í MOFA nefnist Elemental Iceland og stendur frá 14. október til 7. desember 2019. Á sýningunni Elemental Iceland eru einnig verk eftir Valgerði Hauksdóttur, Elvu Hreiðarsdóttur, Soffíu Sæmundsdóttur, Rósu Sigrúnu, Önnu Gunnarsdóttur, Önnu Þóru, Nicole Pietrantoni og Jóhann Eyfells. Formleg opnun og móttaka verður 24. október n.k. frá18:00 til 20:00, sjá Fb-viðburð.

BOOK ART: The art exhibition “ELEMENTAL ICELAND“ opened in MOFA, Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts, Tallahassee, Florida, on October 14th. I take part as a member of ARKIR Book Arts Group and exhibit selected works from our exhibition BORDERLAND that travelled in the US in 2018. The exhibition is open from October 14 to December 7, 2019. The exhibition is introduced by the museum thus: “Contemporary graphic, textile, and sculptural works from Iceland addressing the island nation’s unique landscapes, geology, and cultural history rooted in materials derived from the earth and sea. Featured artists: Valgerdur Hauksdóttir, Elva Hreidarsdottir, Soffia Sæmundsdóttir, Rosa Sigrun, Anna Gunnarsdottir, Anna Thóra, Nicole Pietrantoni, Johann Eyfells, and members of the ARKIR Book Arts Group.” Welcome to an evening reception, held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. celebrating the exhibition, see Fb-event.
