♦ Föstudagsmyndir: Ég er enn að melta kynni mín af Tallinn eftir ferðina þangað í byrjun apríl. Falleg borg og skemmtileg og ekki að undra þó gamli miðbærinn sé á Heimsminjaskrá Unesco. Eins og gengur er ferðamannaiðnaðurinn áberandi en þarlendir lausir við að abbast upp á gesti með ágengri sölumennsku. Ég kunni vel við það. Bílaumferð er mjög takmörkuð um elsta borgarhlutann og gönguferðir þar því einstaklega ánægjulegar.

♦ Photo Friday: I am still pondering about Tallinn and Estonia, since my visit last week. Tallinn is such a picturesque city with its medieval old tower walls and grand buildings. No wonder the old city center is one of Unesco World Heritage Sites. This almost car-free part of the city makes it clean and peaceful. I would love to come back in the summertime when wandering about would be even more pleasant. Spring was just around the corner …

Graffiti in Tallinn – Through times, the inhabitants of Tallinn must have had their share of fear. For one thing, there was a reason for the enormous fortifications that now make the city so attractive. Lets hope times of fear are over.
