♦ Bókamessur. Þessa helgi snýst allt um bækur! Bókamessa í bókmenntaborg er haldin í þriðja sinn í Ráðhúsi Reykjavíkur, en í Garðabænum verður Barnabókamessa Alþjóðaskólans á Íslandi haldin í annað sinn. Alþjóðaskólinn er til húsa í Sjálandsskóla og þar verður bókamessan á laugardag, 23. nóvember, á milli kl. 11:00 – 15:00. Nokkrir höfundar eru boðnir til messunnar og ég mun þar m.a. segja frá vinnu bókateiknarans og lesa og árita bækur frá kl. 12:00-13:00.

♦ Bookfairs. This weekend is just all about books! Reykjavík Book Fair is held at the City Hall Friday to Sunday and in Garðabær, at The International School of Iceland, a special Children’s Book Fair is held for a second time. The International School of Iceland is based in Sjálandsskóli where the book fair is held on Saturday, 23. November from 11:00 – 15:00. I will be there among the invited authors, talking about my work as an illustrator, reading, signing books. As it says in the press release:

The event will include specially priced books in English, Icelandic and other languages. A large variety of books including award-winning titles, children’s classics, and books of Icelandic authors will be featured among the other well-known international authors. A bake sale offering a variety of homemade cakes, a children’s handmade Christmas craft sale, and raffle for prizes will also be a part of the family festivities again this year.
